Classmates to Soulmates

Bride & Groom:  Disha and Abhijit

When Bride talks : Abhijit and I met during our college days and became friends. After graduation, we stayed friends for a long time. And one day, Abhijit proposed to me for marriage, which was a YES! I felt most alive when our heart skipped a beat. Abhijit is a tough person yet soft inside, and I feel the most alive when my heart skips a beat.

We chose January as our wedding month and planned our own wedding with love, from shortlisting venues to outfits, decor, Russian artists, singers, emcees, photographers, sound, background dancers, choreographers, etc. The planning phase was exhausting, but they enjoyed it.

The Sundowner Sangeet was held at the Turf Club at Mahalaxmi racecourse. It featured a mix of colours and well-coordinated outfits. @Riantasoffical customised a coral lehenga with yellow and turquoise florets, pearl hand work, and a pastel yellow choker dupatta. A live lip gloss stand was customised for all females as return mehendi favours. Team @musicurls.unwinded made the evening melodious with our energetic and lively performance.

We chose the Astor Ballroom at St Regis Mumbai for our wedding. I chose red for the pheras and Abhijit chose an ivory sherwani with pearl dupatta. For the mandap, we chose a modern arrangement with crystal chandeliers and a floral backdrop. This was our most favourite look of the series. We also had a “Glam Night” which was a cocktail night with meet n greet and fun performances.

Everything fell in place at the right time with the right person. This was our journey from “Classmates to Soulmates“ .
